1. Effective February 15, 2021, the VA has implemented changes to its community provider emergency treatment reporting process. VA requests all emergency notifications be reported through either the Emergency Care Reporting (ECR) portal, https://EmergencyCareReporting.CommunityCare.va.gov, or by calling 844-72HRVHA (844-724-7842). 2. Effective May 1, 2020, the VA Office of Community Care requests Community care paper claims and supporting documentation for services rendered in the community be mailed to the following address:

As is always the case, VA strongly encourages community providers submit claims and required supporting documentation electronically through VA’s clearinghouse, Change Healthcare. Doing this can improve claim accuracy and reduce the amount of time for claims processing determinations.
