Reporting Information

An Intermediate Care Facility (Incl. Distinct Part Long-Term Care) must report the occurrence of a fire or disaster to the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance (HCQC) within 24 hours.

The legal mandate requiring reporting


3.  A facility shall notify the Bureau of the occurrence of a fire or disaster in the facility within 24 hours after the facility becomes aware of the fire or disaster.

Although many of these requirements apply to individual medical professionals and other types of hospitals and health care facilities, the information is presented solely to support Critical Access Hospitals.
